The San Juan mountains located in South Western Colorado are very popular for camping. The National Forest System in Colorado is experiencing some of the largest tourist numbers yet. Over the years, the style of camping has changed. Its not your typical standard camping experience any longer. For example, many travelers choose campers over a standard tent now-a-days. Also the use of campground toilets have grown more popular and less people are “roughing” it out in the wilderness. Campgrounds are expected to receive business from over 13 million more travelers in 2017 than the previous year.

- According to a recent Business Wire survey, 13 million more American households will go camping in 2017 compared to 2016. That means there will be 75 million camping households in the United States
