As the Grand Canyon is such a vast site, there are many great viewpoints on both the north and south rims. On the south rim there is a point called Hopi Point. Hopi Point just further into the Grand Canyon along the south rim than any other point. It is a great place to watch the sun both rise and set. Along the north rim, Bright Angel Point is the most popular viewing point. It is less than a mile away from the Grand Canyon Lodge.
- Hopi Point juts out further over the South Rim of the Grand Canyon than any South Rim point, affording visitors a magnificent view.
- Mojave Point, which is West of Hopi Point, has really excellent western exposure, making it great for sunset views.
- Another Mojave plus is that due to its lesser fame the point tends to attract fewer crowds.
“One of the best ways to experience Grand Canyon National Park is to visit a beautiful viewpoint on the rim.”
